Safeguarding Policy for Gymnasts, Parents & Coaches.

This is to remind you that British Gymnastics has a strict policy on the use of the Internet and has recently updated the policy.  Aspire Gymnastics also has a strict policy for Internet use. The main points are: No coach is permitted to communicate directly with an individual gymnast through text, internet chat rooms, social networks (including Facebook, Twitter, and Facetime etc.) or by e mail.  Communication to gymnasts must be through parents, or Group E mails or from updates posted on the gym Web Site. Coaches and gymnasts who communicate on a 1-1 basis could be subject to disciplinary sanctions. Under no circumstances should a coach communicate with a gymnast via Skype. Gymnasts , Parents and Coaches must not post unfavourable, personal or disrespectful comments regarding gymnasts, coaches, personnel or the club on public networks such a Twitter If you become aware that the above is occurring, please contact our Welfare Officer, Beth Maddock on 01252 627627. AGM 12th July 7.15 - 8.30 pm. Presentations at 7.00 pm

TO ALL ASPIRE CLUB MEMBERS, COMMITTEE MEMBERS & COACHES This year the club has enrolled its 100th member, who will receive a voucher for a term's gymnastics fees from the LC which will be presented at the AGM. The club has been able to purchase new custom made beam mats with a grant from Hampshire County Council with the help of Councillor Adrian Collett, who will be present to "hand" them to the club.  The gymnasts, and their siblings, are invited to be in the photograph for the press at 7.00pm in the sports hall and afterwards to stay for a DVD in the lounge upstairs during the business part of the AGM. They should bring a small snack, a sleeping bag and can wear pyjamas or onesies. They can take their belongings upstairs, before the photo. Gymnasts of the Month - May

The Yateley Cup -  Elisha for working very well, she is proving to be a good little gymnast. She seems to enjoy all the different disciplines and listens to the advice she is given.  The Frogmore Cup -  Jade for  showing determination and commitment when practising  new moves, listening well and applying all the feed back she is given . The Aspire Cup -  Jenna  for making good progress in conditioning. She has learnt many new skills for Acro and basics. She is growing in confidence and willing to try new moves.

Hampshire Under 8's Conditioning League

Yesterday the team again scored a record number of points for Aspire and broke through the 200 mark with a magnificent score of 206.55. Kaitlyn and Molly gained our first ever maximum points, Kaitlyn for high jump and Molly for long jump. Well done Lizzy on her first time in the team. THANK YOU TO  all the gymnasts who have competed in this competition.   We are sure you have learnt a lot about competitions.  Amy, Elise, Maddie, Imogen and Lizzy, along with Brooke will be able to compete in this competition again next year. We hope the others will progress to Grades CONGRATULATIONS TO  Kaitlyn, Molly, Rhianna, Darcie, Amy, and April who have made it to the Final Round on July 6th.  Good Luck girls
