Update – 30th June 2014

Gig on the Green, 28th June 2014

We braved the storms on Saturday at Yateley’s Gig on the Green.  In the end though it was too wet and cold and we packed up and went home!
Big thanks to Paul, Jo's husband, for putting up his gazebo and collecting and returning tables from Frogmore LC.  Due to being hit by another flying gazebo which took flight in the strong wind in the storms Paul didn't need to collect the gazebo as it was beyond saving and went in a Grundon!!

Thank you to Debbie and Sarah Crane for decorating the stall and to Sarah Beresford and Nic who braved two thunder storms which left everything soaking wet.  Jo and Gil decided to pack up after just one deluge. Hopefully the weather will be better next year!
Julie and Katie Cronin

Julie Cronin and Katie are moving to Greece. This was Julie's last week and the club presented her with a bouquet of roses. Some of Katie's group prepared a Friendship Book as a leaving gift to her.
Julie wrote a lovely thank you letter which you can read below;

“Thank you very much for the beautiful flowers and the leaving card, it was very thoughtful of you. It has been a pleasure to help out at Aspire, it is a lovely friendly club. From the minute Katie joined she was made to feel very welcome and became good friends with the girls in her group and has always enjoyed the sessions.
She loves her book and Aspire will always be a special memory for her. She has enjoyed the competitions but more importantly she has enjoyed doing gym in a fun and friendly club where the gymnasts support and encourage each other.

All the best for the summer show, we will be checking the blog to see how the gymnasts do in the various competitions.
Thank you again for the flowers, we will miss everyone, we will try and visit when we are back in the Uk and hopefully Katie can continue gymnastics in Greece, even if it's a few cartwheels in the playground !

Julie x and Katie x”
