Well done to all our ‘Little Stars’ who participated in this year’s Hampshire Conditioning League, which was held at Xcel’s gym in Portsmouth over five rounds.   We hope this gave the girls a good introduction to competitions. Amy, Brooke, Tilly Daisy, Elise and Charlotte participated in the final round on Saturday.   The girls all did really well and produced one of our strongest scores yet. Jo Henden, Head Coach was unable to travel to Havant for this round but was in touch all afternoon and saw the results as soon as Gil got back to Fleet, she was thrilled! Well done girls J

The Tesco store in Hook was extremely generous when we asked them to help the club by donating thank you gifts for our Young Leaders - Heidi, Amy ,Isobel and Grace.   The girls received these at our Summer Show on Saturday.   Tesco also helped by donating two beautiful bouquets of flowers for our adult volunteers, picture below.

Congratulations to Heidi who has recently become our youngest qualified coach!

Just a year ago Heidi was the star turn at our First Summer Show. She managed to dive roll over eight other gymnasts, then she decided to give up gymnastics and try some other sports. However within a few months she realised that she was missing gymnastics and asked to return as a voluntary trainee coach. She has been helping at Women’s Artistic training on Saturdays. British Gymnastics (BG) does not allow under 14’s to become qualified coaches. Recently Heidi had her 14th birthday and she attended a course on Sunday 29 th June 2014 gaining an Award Scheme Coaching (ASC) Award. She is now qualified to coach all the skills covered in the BG Core Proficiency badges. She will have to wait until she is 16 to move to the next level. Jo, our Head Coach, said, "Aspire Gymnastics is very pleased to have her as a Young Leader and a member of our coaching team". Well done Heidi J
