Raffle Prize Winner Thank you to everybody who bought tickets and to the committee members who sold them. The raffle raised £71.00   for the club and it will go towards the purchase of a cushioned mat for the beam. The lucky winner Elizabeth, her daughter Leah is in the Saturday recreation class, collected her prize.

Didn't they do well 16 Gymnasts took part in the Liberty Floor, Vault and Trampette competition on December 11th 2011 The gymnasts returned with 9 medals.  The medal winners were: Amy Beresford      Bronze on vault . Mia Cain,             Bronze on Floor. Olivia Treacy,      Bronze on Trampette. Jenna Setchfield, Bronze on Vault. Ben Newman won Silver on Floor. It was the first competition for all these gymnasts Lara Trott              Bronze on Floor Jessica O'Sullivan   Gold on Floor Daniel Morgan        Gold on Vault and Bronze on Floor

Although we were not successful in the Fleet News and Mail campaign, we did receive a Marks and Spencer  Christmas Hamper from Art of Living Community Fund. On behalf of Aspire gymnastics Gil was presented with the hamper on Friday 9th Dec. The club is raffling the hamper to raise funds for Beam cushions which cost £87.00 for 1.5 metres. The gymnasts need to learn to forward and backward roll on the beam. It is very hard and uncomfortable when they first begin! Tickets £1.00 for a strip of 5 will be on sale at gymnastics. The draw will be at the end of the Pre-school session on Saturday 17th December.

Conchita Matthys excellent Top 6 Competition in Walvis Bay. Wins N$ 1000-00 with her second place in ribbon.
